Just weeks before the fashion season begins industry insiders anxiously begin chattering their predictions of what will be designers’ newest visions.   Fashion loves the future as we all hope to be on the inside track of what is to come. So, by Labor Day, New York Fashion Week is front and foremost and everyone’s hot topic. Each season, fashion editors find it elating to forecast fashion trends. Will silhouettes be voluminous or architectural? Will color palettes be neutral or vibrant? Who will join LVMH?

Yet, as part of the artistic process, a designer must first create a sketch to outline ‘the look.’  An idea first fleshed out on paper is the key ingredient or closest clue to the real soul of the collection. And of course, before there was fashion photography there was the fashion sketch. Hence, fashion illustration is the starting point of a vision that still holds tons of truth.

Fashion Reverie revers the creative process of the designer, which later translates from the runway to amazing creations, spawned from smaller inspirations. That said; Fashion Reverie has collected illustrations from our designer favorites and included up and comers who we also believe have an interesting story to tell for spring/summer 2015.
