For Oleg Cassini, tradition reigns supreme. And the brand’s affinity for creating gowns that appeal to the bride who has a predilection for refined opulence was evident in its fall 2015 collection.
Drawing inspiration from a Parisian drawing room illuminated with crystal chandeliers, which reflects the exquisite details of Oleg Cassini’s sophisticated collection, was the focal point of this collection. This motif carried throughout the collection, highlighting bridal gowns featuring floral appliqués and embroidered lace with crystal accents.
Lace gowns embellished with sequins and polished crystals are always a constant with Cassini combined with a nod toward the 1960s, evidenced this season with glove accessories, pearl necklaces, tiaras, and white sunglasses. However, this season Cassini’s bridal was more effervescent and youthfully focused than in previous outings.
This projection toward, perhaps a younger bride who has a penchant for classic, traditional silhouettes was most evident in the three tea-length dresses in the collection. Also, by incorporating youthful 60s hairstyles the collection possessed more buoyancy and bounce, so to speak.

Still, Oleg Cassini’s design team never strays too far from the tried and true signature aesthetic of the brand. And this season Cassini’s signature look combined with more youthful projection gave the brand a much-needed facelift. And the tea-length dresses—which could easily double as cotillion gowns—were a refreshing addition.
