New York International Bridal Week Spring 2016 Sketch Preview

Who doesn’t adore a spring bride? As the temperature warms up, thoughts of cherry blossoms, warm colors, frolicking in the park, and of course spring romance take flight.

With spring 2015 bridal trends embracing off-the-shoulder romantic necklines, feathery tulle overskirts and lacy crop tops as appropriate bridal wear, spring 2016 bridal trends have gone a step in another direction. Remember, brides-to-be plan their nuptials at least a year in advance and in accord with these projections Fashion Reverie has included a few sketches from the spring 2016 collections of a few designers.

Theia Bridal Spring 2016

The show is inspired by the Victorian Art Noveau illustrations of Kay Neilsen for Hans Christian Anderson. This season, Theia brides will have a whimsical fairytale quality to them. And we threw in a extra sketch from a few seasons ago, when creative director Don O’Neill sketch a bridal gown he though Kim Kardashian would look great in!!

Ines Di Santo Bridal Spring 2016

The spring 2016 collection radiates romance as reflected by layers of rich lace and chapel and cathedral length trains. Delicate hand embroidery and beadwork inspired by 16^th century European gardens adorn slender silhouettes as well as dramatic ball gowns. Plunging, illusion necklines and backs are seen throughout the collection, as are luxuriant finishes such as mohair trims and ornate beading.

Victoria Kyriakides Bridal Spring 2016

Though she is not new to the New York bridal scene, this Athens-based designer is not exactly a household name in the US. However, with the sketches that she leaked to Fashion Reverie that could all be about to change.

Known for her body-conscious silhouettes and minimalist aesthetic, this season Kyriakides is expanding her design horizons while staying true to her signature point of view. And these sketches give you a sneak peak into the evolution of the brand.
