Already in his second week of studies at the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London, Antonio Banderas recently posted an Instagram image of himself posed among mannequins with the caption “intense, exciting, serious and fun all the same time.”

Saint Martins released a statement that Banderas will not be following the typical curriculum of most design students. Banderas is enrolled in a bespoke program through short courses. Course load a side, one can hope that Banderas, if he elects to launch a fashion line, will be more hands on than celebrities associated with fashion brands.

Gap labor

Gap is looking to improve working conditions for its employees. Gap has decided to eliminate its on-call shifts at all stores and improve scheduling policies for employees with a 10-14 days’ work notice.

This change in policy comes on the heels of an inquiry an inquiry by New York State attorney general Eric Schneiderman’s office into the legality of on-call shifts at 13 retailers, including Gap, Target Corp, JC Penney, Abercrombie & Fitch and TJX Cos. “I commend Gap for taking an important step to make their employees’ schedules fairer and more predictable,” Schneiderman said in a statement on Wednesday, as reported in fashionmag.com.

All of Gap’s five brands are expected to phase out on-call shits by the end of September, phasing in new scheduling by early 2016.

The Olsen twins have commandeered several successful fashion labels, from their highly successful The Row to tween label, Olsenboye, and StyleMint. The Olsen twins’ fashion labels have sales of over 1 billion.
