Jennifer Lopez is known for her inimitable style. And at the 2015 American Music Awards (AMA) showcased her incredible style at ten times what most viewers are accustomed to.
Now, Jennifer Lopez is not the first co-host of an award show to change outfits multiple times. Joan Rivers set that standard when she hosted the Academy Awards in the 1990s, and M’onique followed suit when she hosted the BET Awards.
Still, J-Lo probably has had more outfit changes than either Joan Rivers or M’onique, and our “Jenny from the Block” will not be outdone with donning gowns from some of the top fashion design houses. All this on a mid-40s frame that is all the more delicious and va va voom.
That said; Fashion Reverie details all ten J-Lo looks from the 2015 American Music Awards. And though not all J-Lo’s looks are our favorite, Fashion Reverie applauds Jennifer Lopez’s daring and no-holes-barred—literally—fashion attitude.
French couturier Zuhair Murad was the designer of choice for Jennifer Lopez at this year’s AMAs. In fact, J-Lo chose to wear three different outfits from Zuhair Murad. Fashion Reverie’s favorite was the black sheer gown with star-studded silver belt.
Michael Costello is a favorite of Fashion Reverie and also a J-Lo favorite. J-Lo looks stunning in this mustard gown from Costello’s spring 2016 collection.
Age aint nothing but a number. And Lopez’ forty-something physique is slamming a DSquared2’s controversial tribal print bodysuit.
Though some fashion pundit thought Jennifer looked a bit matronly in this red and pink ombre sequined tea dress by Michael Cinco, Fashion Reverie is more on the side of Jennifer’s chic and sophisticated projection.
Lastly, Jennifer Lopez has always loved showing off her curves and skin, all at the same time. And though some of these looks are eye catching, Fashion Reverie was not a fan of all the diaphanous sheer, cutouts and illusions looks. The Fashion Reverie editorial team’s favorite was the Balmain beaded and belted look.
