Fashion News Alert: Nicole Richie’s Macy’s Collection, Reem Acra’s First Fragrance, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Designs Lingerie

In her first collection for Macy’s Impulse, Nicole Richie stays true to her fashion point of view by featuring angular prints and slouchy basics.

The collection’s price range is from $49 to $149, making it affordable, but still retaining Richie’s signature bohemian chic style.  “I am thrilled to partner with such an iconic retailer for this collaboration which was an exciting, new way to challenge my creativity,” states Richie.

The 24 to 30 piece collection will be available starting mid-September in over 100 Macy’s locations, as well as Macys.com.

Reem Acra’s First Fragrance

After founding a bridal collection in 1997, Reem Acra’s first perfume is set to launch this October.

Originally from Beirut, Lebanon and now living in Nashville, Tennessee, Acra has stayed true to her  Lebanese roots  by incorporating exotic middle eastern scents into the fragrance. The scent features top notes of orange blossom, pear and bergamot; a heart of ginger, jasmine, lily of the valley and blooming peony, a dry down of amber, cedar wood, patchouli, and warm musk.

The scent (30 ml. for $35, 50 ml. for $90 and 90 ml. for $125) will launch at Saks Fifth Avenue, followed by additional stores throughout the US and UK.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Designs Lingerie

Ex-Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has made her first foray into designing her very first lingerie collection.

The model-turned-actress-turned designer will be collaborating with British retailer, Marks & Spencer for a 33-piece intimates collection, “Rosie for Autograph.”

“I love everything about lingerie, I’ve always had a thing for it. It’s completely feminine, it’s something for women, it’s our little secret,” Huntington-Whiteley says. “I think that we’ve struck a really great balance between it being young and modern whilst still being classic and sexy but it’s feminine, and I hope people enjoy it in that way.”

The collection will launch in select stores August 30 and will feature camisoles, kimono style robes decorated with rose-print motifs and deco-inspired detailing.
