A collaboration I am sure you thought you would never see  is the new business relationship between retail giant, Walmart, and publishing company, Conde Nast.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Walmart will be featuring in their stores their own beauty/fashion magazine, Beauty Scoop .  Inside the magazine, readers can get tips, how-to’s, and stories written by editors from Glamour, Allure, and Lucky.

Walmart is looking to push their products in a more “tasteful” manner by looking to a bigger publishing company for assistance. Conde Nast is not the only publishing company to work with Walmart, Time Inc. also has a long standing relationship with the megastore.

Chanel Launches

Chanel is taking spring 2013 back to the kind of luxury that gives their brand that timeless chic appeal. Starting with their makeup line, Printemps Precieux de Chanel, the cosmetic collection is inspired by Coco Chanel’s simple and sophisticated aesthetic.

Elegant neutrals and plush pinks team up with bold and vibrant polish shades to give a line of contrasting colors. The new collection will include powders in soft peach and warm beige shades ($68), Quadra Eye Shadow palettes ($59), eyeliners with new shades of brown ($30), the Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color ($34), and classic pink, polished brown or pink-red Le Vernis Nail Colors ($27).

The Chanel spring 2013 makeup line will be available at department stores and on chanel.com in January.

Posen Replaces Kors

Project Runway judge, Michael Kors, is bidding auf wiedersehen after ten seasons with the fashion reality show. It has been revealed that designer Zac Posen will be taking his spot as a  judge.

“So excited to be the new judge on @ProjectRunway Season 11!! Joining @heidiklum @ninagarcia and @TimGUnn,” Posen tweeted on his personal Twitter account.

Kors departure to the show is apparently due to scheduling conflicts but do not worry, it will not be for too long. Kors is planning to make a guest judge appearance at the season finale.
