Fashion Reverie’s 2014 Grammy Red Carpet Predictions

Downloads106Fashion Reverie anticipates the 2014 Grammys, but not just for the intriguing red carpet fashon, but also for the great stage performances. The Grammys gives celebs and pop music icons the opportunity—unlike some over awards shows—to show off their unique sense of style with fashion-forward red-carpet creations and eccentric hairstyles.  To demonstrate their fashion-forward sensibility or lack there of, Fashion Reverie takes a look back at a few shockers from the past years:

Cee Lo Green dressed like a gladiator bird of paradise at the 2011 Grammys; feathers, feathers and more feathers. Perhaps, his outfit was an homage to Elton John’s performance on The Muppets Show in the 70’s. Hopefully, this season Cee Lo will wears something a bit more restrained with less plumage!!

By now fans are used to Nicki Minaj’s barrage of attention-grabbing red-carpet getups. Still, there are always some surprises from Nicki.  Last year no one expected Nicki Minaj to flaunt a papal outfit with rosary beads in tow. Of course there was a reason behind this look; her upcoming single “Roman Holiday.”

And who can forget the Grammys where Lady Gaga showed up in an egg costume. She was in an embryonic state, and not able to hatch until her stage performance “Born This Way.”

Fashion Reverie loves to make predictions and suggestions of what the big stars should wear for this big night out. So here are few:

Kanye West is at his fashion peak and just finished presenting his latest collaboration for menswear line, A.P.C. Fashion. We have already seen Kanye wear clothes from his own collection, so Fashion Reverie predicts for the 2014 Grammys Kanye will wear something from Givenchy’s autumn/winter 2014 collection since he has been seen hanging out a lot with Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci.

Sometimes bad girl RiRi’s (Rihanna) style for the Grammys is really hard to predict. She tries everything and is a true trendsetter. Of course with that rocking body and gorgeous face, she can get away with almost much anything. Jean Paul Gaultier has lately been her designer of choice; therefore Fashion Reverie picked out a dress from his fall 2009 Couture collection with high neck, lots of fabric and a gold-torso structure that reveals just enough.

Beyonce swept us off our feet with her latest album and the amazing song “Drunk in Love” featuring Jay Z. She looks super hot; so fans will be excited to see her perform at the Grammys tonight. She has been dressing conservatively lately, and her fans miss the glitzy Beyonce. That said; fans would like to see her in something shiny showing off her sexy curves. A glitzy gown from Rafael Cennamo’s fall 2013 collection would do nicely for Beyonce at this year’s Grammys.

Katy Perry loves color, flowers, spice and everything nice. She has worn tight, short costume-like outfits quite often on the red carpet, but lately she seems to be going for long dresses. Fashion Reverie would love to see her in one of our favorite designers, The Blonds. Electric blue with spikes would bring back the edginess we have been missing from her new red-carpet incarnation.

Enjoy the awards!
