2020 was a very difficult and challenging year to say that least. There was a divisive presidential election, cancellation of the 2020 Summer Olympics, New York Fashion Week adapting an ineffective digital, more raging fires in California and a global health pandemic that paralyzed the world financially and had a deleterious effect on everyone’s health.
Many felt 2020 couldn’t get any worse. Well, we don’t have to worry about that now that the year 2020 has come to an end. Still, many ponder if 2021 will produce the same calamities and fears.
One thing is for sure, with president-elect Joe Biden and vice-president elect Kamala Harris in the White House we will have a sane, truth-telling administration. And with three COVID-19 vaccines out on the market we can expect some type of return to normalcy, if not soon, in the near future.
The fashion industry will continue to access and struggle with digital presentations and a market where consumers are purchasing few garments. However, this re-evaluation may render new perspectives and fashion projections, all which could be promising.
Overall, 2021 promises to be much better than gloomy 2020. Still, there are no guarantees. Whatever the outcome, Fashion Reverie is primed and ready to bring our viewers all the fashion news and goings-on in the fashion industry.
