Well, rumors that circulated throughout the fashion industry in January that megastar Beyoncé had formed collaboration with H&M have turned out to be true. Today, Beyoncé unveiled her summer 2013 campaign ads for the Swedish retail giant.
The summer campaign features Beyoncé lounging in the Bahamas in printed shorts, a silky blouse, high-heels and bangles. And, it appears that Beyoncé may have even designed some of the garments worn in the campaign.
“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements—fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island,” detailed Beyoncé in The Huffington Post. “It felt more like making a video than a commercial.”
The megastar joins the list of new faces for H&M which includes David Beckham, Vanessa Paradis, and Lana Del Rey. The collection will be available in H&M stores in May.
The question now is how is the House of Dereon doing?
