While 2021 was all about coziness and comfort with a little more excitement around the holidays, the spring2022 season promises to bring sexy back!! While many are thinking “I better hit the gym,” others are considering making the shift from working from home “looks” of comfort and isolation. Fashion Reverie looks at spring 2022 trends and celebrities that are embracing them. From London and Paris to New York and Milan, this is what should be in your closet.

Micro Skirts
Low on the hips or cut to a strip that just about covers underpants, minis are back. However, for spring 2022 micro skirts are more welcoming to all shapes and sizes. So, show off those legs!!
A celebrity who knows how to rock a micro skirt is Dua Lipa. Here the singer is in a Versace sequin mini skirt with gold safety-pin detailing. The purple skirt with a shimmering green top and satin heels made heads turn!

Monochromatic Color
Color combinations on the runways and our favorite celebrities embracing color is simply too irresistible to pass. After all it is so much more fun mixing and matching bold color palettes. Perfect example, Zendaya showed up to Valentino’s Pink PP Collection, which was all about pink and monochromatic looks, in pink from head to toe. Completely on theme, Zendaya wore a bright fuchsia blazer and pants embellished with floral appliqués. Add to all that pink, pink pumps, and purse to match.

Reveal and Seduce
Super sheer, super tight, and super provocative. One very important piece of advice, nice underwear is a must. Now, you already know how a typical sheer dress looks but actress Kristen Stewart took it to a different level by wearing a daring Chanel gown featuring a sheer, see-through bodice that extended into something like o a ballet skirt. This was a classy way to embrace this see-through diaphanous trend.

Crop Tops and Cut-outs
Did this trend ever leave? Not really, so it should be easy to dig out a few of those crop tops or cut-out garments from your closet. Combine tops with low-rise jeans, some jewelry or a scarf. These combinations may prevent you from going inside a church, but so be it.
As far as dresses with cut-outs, just make sure everything stays in place. Olivia Culpo covered all the trends in a “somewhat” revealing Giambattista Valli gown with a sheer white skirt, showing off the underside of her breasts. Are you confident enough to embrace this look?

Stripes
Big stripes, skinny stripes or in your face stripes, all are on trend for spring 2022. Here is an old trick you might consider, horizontal stripes can make you look thinner. This is because they seem to fill space. On the contrary, vertical stripes can elongate your figure and make you look taller.
Ahead of this trend, thanks to the one and only Jean-Paul Gaultier, the stripe trend has continued. Do that effect, Julia Fox loves stripes, horizontal and diagonal. She was channeling the signature look of the house’s perfume bottles with her sheer and striped bodycon dress. Her curves are made for this look.
