Age ain’t nothing but a number. And Angela Bassett brings truth to that adage in her recent editorial in Violet Grey’s online magazine The Violet Files. At 55, Angela Bassett is not letting any grass grow under her feet and her editorial in The Violet Files that shows her prepping for a red carpet appearance proves that she is as fit and sexy as she was 20 years ago in “What’s Love Got To Do With It.”
“Well, it only takes me about 10 minutes! I start thinking about it in the car on the way home. Do I want to be flirty? Sensual? Powerful? Then I try to dress for that feeling. My husband [actor Courtney B. Vance] always says ‘Lord, you’ve made something out of nothing, how did you do that?,” explains Bassett in her recent interview for The Violet Files.
Dressed seductively in Tom Ford and Kiki de Montparnesse, The Oscar and Emmy–nominated Bassett sizzles in this photo editorial interviewing demonstrating that all those years of working out and eating well is still paying off. “I try to watch my diet so I can fit into whatever I am wearing. Cut the sugar, the alcohol and the bread, and eat a lot of protein and veggies,” details Bassett.
