Celebrity Fashion Sightings: Week of August 2, 2021

Though we are not out of the woods when it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are significant celebrity fashion sightings to go around. This week’s celebrity fashion sightings take Fashion Reverie viewers to red carpets of “Suicide Squad” in Hollywood, “Respect” in Los Angeles, and the opening of Villa Remus in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

This week no celebrity does it better than Jennifer Hudson. Hudson demanded respect at the premiere of “Respect” in Los Angeles in a bold purple sequined Dolce & Gabbana gown with dramatic train. With this outfit Jennifer, respect you have!!

Lady Gaga turns it out every week. And this week was no exception. Gaga was seen leaving her hotel in New York City in a checked strapless gown by Christopher John Rogers, with a voluminous cocoon-shaped skirt. Gaga is one of the few celebrities that could make this look work. And work it does!!

South African actress Thuso Mbedu went for the less is more look in a simple Christian Dior black ensemble at the “Respect” premiere in Los Angeles. Though scaled back, this less is more look works for Thuso.

Also, on the red carpet of “Respect, Hailey Kilgore made a statement in a voluminous pleated black Jason Wu parachute taffeta gown from Wu’s fall 2021 collection. Though Hailey looks kind of lost in this big gown, her beauty still shines through at the “Respect” premiere. Hailey plays Aretha Franklin’s sister Carolyn in “Respect.”

Dita Von Teese never disappoints on the red carpet. And she did not disappoint this week at the opening of Villa Remus in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Dita lights up the red carpet in a black Ulyana Sergeenko demi couture black dress and Christian Louboutin Spikaqueen heels.

Margot Robbie’s casual white Chanel ensemble really works at the red carpet of the “Suicide Squad” in Hollywood.

Is it a black Rapunzel of is it Storm Reid? You guessed right, it’s Storm Reid. Reid’s very, very long braid pairs great with her co-ord by Prada at the Hollywood red carpet of “Suicide Squad” in which she also stars.

Kate Beckinsale looked elegant in a sleeved orange dress by Rasario at the Hollywood premiere of “Suicide Squad.”
