2018 is not even a week old an already it is all about the color black. And it all came to fruition at the 2018 Golden Globes. And though fashionistas would have loved to see splashes on color on the 2018 Golden Globe red carpet, the ubiquity of black was all for a good cause.
Add to that ‘Time Out’ brooches and pins and 2018 promises to be year of advocacy, protest, and hopefully great change. And those who missed a lot of color on the red carpet, this is just the beginning of award season and there are plenty of other changes to see great color on red carpets.
What would the Golden Globes be without Halle Berry? A former Golden Globe winner, Halle Berry went against tradition and wore a short dress to the 2018 Golden Globes. Still, she sparkled and shined in a black lace, bell sleeved Zuhair Murad cocktail dress with Jimmy Choo sandals.Halle set off her red carpet look with a tourmeline Maxior ring, and black diamond/emerald ring by AS29. That said; we loved the chance to see Halle’s toned and sexy legs!!
Olympic gold medal figure skater Tara Lipinksi may be diminutive, but she still knows how to shine on a red carpet. Tara looks great in a Dress the Population black halter gown with Neil J. Rodgers shoes.
“This Is Us’” Susan Kelechi Watson looked current and chic in a black sequin jumpsuit by Monsoori. Susan set off her ensemble with the ‘Mia” shoe from Neil J. Rodgers.
“The Real’s” Jeannie Mai wore an Uel Camilo gown and Harry Kotlar diamond ear clusters.
“Orange Is the New Black’s” Laverne Cox always shines on the red carpet. Laverne Cox demonstrates just how stunning she is in a Stella Nolasco black gown with dipping décolletage. Laverne is beautifully accessorized in Gilan diamond earrings and a DVANI sapphire ring.
Though Ireland Baldwin has fabulous and glamorous parents, Kim Basinger and Alex Baldwin, that doesn’t mean that Ireland is not glamorous in her own right. The model/actress looked edgy but fashionable in a Sally LaPointe black cocktail dress. Ireland accessorizes with Borgioni diamond ear cuffs and AS29 diamond two-finger ring.
“Westworld’s” Angela Sarafyan looks very sophisticated in an Ester Abner dress with Jimmy Choo clutch, beautifully accessorized in a Maxior amethyst necklace, bracelet, and ring at the Instyle 2018 Golden Globes After-Party.
Who says a suit ensemble doesn’t work at the Golden Globes? “Columbus’” Haley Lu Richardson proves that it does by donning a DVF metallic-embossed suit. Not exactly black, but it works just same, especially with accessories of Djula diamond earrings and ring.
“Little Bitches” Keirsey Clemmons looks chic and sophisticated in a simple Giamba black dress with dipping décolletage, accessorized with Narcisa Pheres diamond earrings and Djula diamond ring. Love the short coif, showing off that beautiful face!!
Last, but not least, actress Sonequa Martin-Green wore an Elisabetta Franchi spring 2018 cream scalloped top and pearl and brass necklace while attending the InStyle Golden Globes After-Party. The black tuxedo suit is by Vitor Zerbinato.—Staff
