All fashion eyes and some upturned noses paid close attention to this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala. Customarily, Hollywood A-listers, pop icons, and fashion’s elite give a nod to fashion exhibit’s that are currently being viewed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Last year, the fabulously fashionable gave homage to Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada in reference to the exhibit “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations.” This season was no exception with the glitterati referencing Punk Chic, giving nod to the Met’s recent exhibit “Punk: Chaos to Couture.”
The red carpet fashion at the Met Costume Gala always excels and provides more range of individual taste, style and points of view than can be seen at the Oscars, Golden Globes, and even, The Grammys. However, this year celebrities outdid themselves with fashion-forward perspectives that covered the gamut from haute couture to punk chic to what were they thinking.

Supermodels Coco Rocha, Cara Delevigne, and Karolina Kurkoba were not be outdone on the red carpet at this year’s Met Gala. They all brought their respective versions of Punk Chic, wearing Emanuel Ungaro, Burberry, and Mary Katrantzou, respectively.
Solange Knowles and Nicki Minaj both know the power of big hair and they both look fetching in Kenzo, and Tommy Hilfiger. However, bigness is not Kim Kardashian’s forte, and her choice of a Riccardo Tisci floral was a huge miss, literally!!
Anne Hathaway’s blonde coif is a stunner, and she is all so sexy and slinky in a sheer Valentino, while Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacob’s confirms that topping Maxim’s 2013 sexiest woman was not a joke. Nicole Ritchie is also lovely in Topshop.
