They say the beaches of Malibu boast some of the most beautiful scenic views of the Pacific Coast. Just picture it now, a beautiful sandy paradise to relax and unwind under the sun. It sounds like a dream come true.
It was those picturesque beaches of California that were the muse for Daisy Fuentes spring 2014 collection for Kohls during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The Latin model and entrepreneur channeled her love of sun and surf and the smoothing ambiance of sunny California into a versatile collection of chic looks for the budget-conscious fashionista.
“To me Malibu represents true barefoot luxury. It’s effortless style, modern, fresh and always chic. It’s where I go to relax and have fun,” describes Fuentes, which also marks her 10th anniversary working for the Kohls department chain.

Models graced the runway with sexy cropped tops, relaxed-fitted pants, and plunging V-necklines against a vibrant color palette of nude, chestnut, orange, fuchsia, and turquoise. Prints patterns were inspired from Spanish tile found at the bottom of a crystal ocean side pool, as well as the juxtapositions of light and shadow within the sweeping waves on the horizon.
Beautiful silk and seductive diaphanous sheer accents were also a part of this stylish collection. The beach-influenced collection is perfect for the every day female shopper looking to stay on trend without breaking the bank.
