Picture yourself lost amongst a sea of fresh blossoms. A fashion affair set in a beautiful garden filled with the industry’s best dressed in eclectic punk designs worthy of a rock n’ roll concert. Don’t have anything to wear? Emerson by Jackie Frasier-Swan has you covered with stunning looks to will make a bold statement from her spring 2014 collection.
A splash of vibrant, electric colors against a black-and-white contrast of gorgeous cocktail dresses, trendy jackets, playful skirts and more were all a part of the Emerson spring 2014 collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Fresh springtime flowers blossoming in a beautiful garden painted with an array of rich shades of lilac, pink, and green with floral patterns gave a pop of color to the punk-influenced designs of this chic collection.
“My inspiration was the idea of a punk rock garden party,” says designer Jackie Fraser-Swan. And the worlds of rock-n-roll juxtaposed against fragrant flowers helped to create a stunning collection with pieces that captures the synthesis of a floral garden and the seeming disorder of rock n’ roll. But Fraser-Swan was able to find the order in the disorder of these unlikely bedfellows.
From whimsical gowns to short dresses with an edgy twist, each look demonstrated Fraser-Swan’s love affair for punk rock and the joy of spring. Royal purple was the main color in this collection with the models wearing purple flower hair adornments to match the garments.

“It’s my favorite color [purple] … it’s just bold, vibrant, and playful,” says Swan. And bold and playful is what Jackie Fraser-Swan got right this season!!
