Fashion News Alert: Andrej Pejic’s Reality Show, Jason Wu Introduces ‘Miss Wu’, and Rihanna Designs UK Collection

It’s confirmed! Androgynous Serbian-Australian model Andrej Pejic will have his own reality show.

According to his agency, DNA Models, “It’s still in the early stages, but yes, there is a show being developed around Andrej.” The show will follow Pejic as he goes on go-sees and jobs over a few months.

It is rumored that Pejic’s mother, Jadranka Savic, will also be making an appearance in the show. Pejic is best known for currently being the only male model who successfully models both men and women’s garments in print and on the runway.

Jason Wu’s New Line for Nordstrom

In January, Nordstrom will exclusively sell Jason Wu’s new line “Miss Wu.”

“I always see Jason Wu [the collection] as my aesthetic, my design sensibility. Miss Wu is my personality. It was really fun to explore that facet of who I am –slightly more downtown, and with a more relaxed attitude,” states Wu.

This 40-piece line will range from $195 to $795 compared to Wu’s other lines that have an average cost of $1,700. Designs will include A-line mini dresses, silk bow blouses, mod circle prints, and striped paired with feminine florals.

Although the exclusive deal is only set for one year with Nordstrom, it will sell  in other retail stores after the one-year deal with Nordstrom, with an accessories line in stores for 2014!

Rihanna designs UK Fashion Line

Rihanna is trying very hard to get us Yanks to shop in England.

After announcing her new reality show, Styled to Rock, which will only air in the UK, it has also been confirmed that she will be designing a clothing line for the UK.

Rihanna’s fashion line will be for British retail chain River Island.

“I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time…River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family-run business also really appealed to me,” details Rihanna about her capsule collection.

Launching in Spring 2013, we can only hope  that her line will hit  retail stores stateside or online.
