Beyonce and British retailer TopShop announced today collaboration on an athletic street wear line that will be available sometime next year. The line will include clothing, footwear, and accessories across dance, fitness, and sports categories.

“Creating a partnership with Beyonce … who spends many hours of her life dancing, rehearsing and training is a unique opportunity to develop this category,” says Philip Green, head of Arcadia Group, which owns TopShop as reported in fashionmag.com.

D&G found not guilty

The Italian Supreme Court of Justice found Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana not guilty of tax evasion.

In April the design duo was found guilt of transferring control of their brand to a shell company in Luxembourg to avoid paying Italian taxes. The evaded taxes came to a total of 200 million euros ($277 million dollars).

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana appealed the conviction, and on Friday, April 24 the Italian Supreme Court of Justice annulled the conviction, declaring that the prosecution case was “unfounded” and ending the case.

“We have always been honest and we are extremely proud of this recognition by the Italian Court of Justice,” the two fashion house chiefs said in a statement, as reported in fashionmag.com.

Both designers were to serve 18-months in jail.

Family affair

OK, Vogue contributing editor Andre Leon Talley has declared Kanye, Kim, and daughter North West the “First Family of Fashion.” Really? Come on Andre, we know you have love affair with the media-crazed couple, but don’t you think naming them the “First Family of Fashion” is a bit of a stretch?

In a recent article Talley explained his choice. “The three were a force of iconic moments as they pivoted around Paris, the mecca of fashion during the last fashion shows this month [Paris Fashion Week in September] …[They are] the Nick and Nora Charles of our time, the Liz and Dick Burton, without the brawls.”

Stay tuned as Fashion Reverie’s celebrity style editor Tijana Ibrahimovic gives her picks as the “First Family of Fashion.”
