Striving for uniformity across the New York Fashion Week brand, on Monday the CFDA released a new logo and brand campaign on the first day of New York Fashion Week: Men’s. The new logo, now available for viewing on the CFDA website, references New York City and fashion with the new campaign extending to all fashion weeks in New York City which includes men’s, women’s, bridal, pre-fall, resort and holiday seasons.
“Working with brand strategy and innovation agency Redscout, the new visual identity for New York Fashion Week and NYFW will align all facets of the City’s runway shows and presentations—from central locations to off-site venues and events—within the New York Fashion Week brand. It will unify and solidify the global impact of the New York industry,” reads the CFDA’s website, as reported in fashionmag.com.
“CFDA’s new campaign will further strengthen New York Fashion Week’s global impact—providing an inclusive brand for all to use throughout the week. The fashion industry is more vital than ever when it comes to our city’s economic future— employing 180,000 people and generating $2 billion a year in tax revenue,” chimes in New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.
“That’s why we’ve tripled our investment to support and elevate the manufacturers, designers, and students here in New York who make this industry and this city so great. New York Fashion Week is key to that work, highlighting New York City’s centrality to the industry and attracting people from across the globe,” he continues.
The new logo and campaign will be ready in to for New York Fashion Week: Women starting on September 10–17.

Edgy Georgia May
Georgia May Jagger, model scion of supermodel Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger, has a new job. According to a tweet on Mulberry’s twitter page, Georgia May Jagger is the face of Mulberry’s fall 2015 campaign. Jagger replaces supermodel Cara Delevingne who had the brand’s fall/winter campaign last season.
The campaign images were photographed in the Chelsea section of London with Jagger rendering up of images of an edgy 1960s Brit mod girl in chic tweeds, check-lined wool coats, and printed jumpsuits. This campaign gives nod to a more downtown edgier Mulberry which reflects the design aesthetic of new creative director Johnny Coca.
The model from downunder
Just a few months ago, Australian model Madeline Stuart was just an aspiring model. However, in recent months this aspiring model with Down Syndrome has landed two fashion campaigns. The first campaign is with athletic wear company Manifesta and the second with Guatemalan handbag brand everMaya.
“Both companies approached us to do a photo shoot for them, and after looking at their products we believed the products would be a good fit as Maddy loves fitness and the brand was cute and inclusive. EverMaya has not only beautiful products that are very well made but also have a very charitable belief, so they were a perfect match. We are very happy to be working with EverMaya again shortly in New York City in the beginning of August,” explained Rosanne Stuart, Madeline’s mom in a huffingtonpost.com article.
