On April 30 a Milan appeals court upheld the design duo of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s earlier conviction of failure to pay 40 million euros owed to the Italian government. They have been sentenced with 18 months in prison by a lower court. In addition to 40 million euros owed in back taxes, Domenico and Stefano have been hit with an additional fine of 500, 000 euro.
The luxury fashion design team is now seeking an appeal by Italy’s Supreme Court of Cassation.
Hmm, while serving their term, maybe D&G will come out with chic, baggy jailbird palazzo/cargo pants. Singing right along!!
