It seems as though the Jenner/Kardashian name can sell almost anything. Well, that will be put to test during NYFW: The Shows when Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner open up their pop-up store in the NYC’s Meatpacking District at Samsung 837.

Taking a cue from brother-in-law extraordinaire, Kanye West, whose Soho pop-up store,” Life of Pablo” was a big hit, with consumers lined up around the block, the Jenner sisters are following suit. Kylie and Kendall have collaborated with Topshop and retail store Pascsun in the past to get market saturation.

The pop-up store opens during NYFW: The Show and word is out that Kylie and Kendall will be there to greet the customers.

Curvy girls take back the runway

“F* This is a rallying cry. It addresses the frustrations of plus size women and demands the right to full fashion access,” explains Roslyn Griner, Addition Elle’s Vice President of Marketing and Visual Display.  Top plus-size models including Ashley Graham, Candice Huffine, Iskra Lawrence, Barbie Ferreira, and Tara Lynn will walk in the show.

Addition Elle’s spring 2017 will take place at Metropolitan Pavilion on September 14.

Barbie

Barbie moonlights

Does Barbie need another job? Isn’t Barbie being a fashion icon and the most sought-after doll enough? Apparently not!! It appears that Barbie is now being employed a social media influencer to give her opinions on clothing and beauty products.

Recently, Barbie attended a conference in Hawaii to promote Dyson’s new Supersonic hairdryer. Her posts about this new product from Dyson received 41.9 thousand likes on Barbie’s Instagram account. Dyson has not revealed how much Barbie was paid for her post.

Barbie’s Instagram account is managed by a team of senior designers, who create her custom made outfits, design scaled sets and scout locations for her photo shoots. In addition, the team works with an in-house digital and marketing team alongside of publicity agency KCD.

Well, aint that a blip!! Well, if the Supreme Court can rule that a corporation has the same rights as humans; then I guess Barbie can launch a new career as a social media influencer. Still, it feels kind of creepy, don’t you think?

Alexander McQueen’s close-up

Alexander McQueen is about to be immortalized on the silver screen. In the new film, “The Ripper,” the relationship between McQueen and fashion muse Isabella Blow is carefully scrutinized and examined. Alexander McQueen died as a result of suicide in 2010 while Isabella Blow, former fashion director at Tatler, died in 2008.

“The Ripper” is being developed by Maven Productions with the screenplay written by Gesha-Marie Bland.
