On Saturday it was announced that Kendall Jenner has been signed as the new face of Estee Lauder. This announcement comes on the heels of the fashion model/reality TV star’s birthday, celebrated two weeks prior.
“I still can’t believe it myself,” declared Jenner as she tweeted the news to her 15 million Instagram followers. Legendary fashion photographer, Patrick Demarchelier, will take a second campaign image of Kendall Jenner.

Ford’s Male-Inspired Lipstick
Lipstick inspired by men? Now that is a stretch. But, if it is a Tom Ford product, fashionistas will stand up and pay attention.
“I like the idea of lipsticks named after boys,” explains Ford. “Why commit to one when you can have several?” as reported in fashionmag.com.
The Lips & Boys collection will feature 50 different male names inspired by Tom Ford’s male friends, male family members, collaborators and men that inspired Ford. All 50 male-inspired lipsticks—costing around 33 euros—will go on sale for one day on November 28, reappearing in Tom Ford stores and stockists on December 26.
For Condé Nast unpaid costs big bucks
Although the Condé Nast intern class-action lawsuit was settled out of court in April, the amount of the settlement, $5.8 million, was not determined until last Thursday.
The lawsuit—filed in June 2013 by Matthew Leib, a former intern at The New Yorker, and Lauren Ballinger, who interned at W. Condé’s internship program—stated that interns were underpaid for their work. The settlement equates to approximately $700 to $1,900 per intern.
“While we continue to believe the internships that were offered at Condé Nast provided experiences that were among the best in the media business, we determined that settling the lawsuit is the right business decision for Condé Nast, as it allows us to focus our time and resources on developing meaningful, new opportunities to support future up-and-coming talent,” said CEO Chuck Townsend in an internal memo that went out to Condé staffers on last Thursday as reported in fashionweekdaily.com.

Lacroix’s shoe affection
Christian Lacroix has branched to the men’s footwear market. Christian Lacroix has signed a licensing deal with parent company and owner National Standard brand.
The men’s shoe collection will contain 30 models with price points of 230 to 300 euros. Shoes will be manufactured in Portugal and hit stores for the spring 2015 season. The shoes will be available in multi-brand stores from Mexico to Oslo to France with the collection available in the men’s section of French store Printemps.
