Kate Moss knows how to mix it up. And this ability keeps her fresh and employable
The 40-year-old supermodel yet again has landed another campaign. 2014 has been a banner year for Moss with several campaigns under her belt. And Kate again joins forces with the French hairstyling brand Kérastase Paris in new ads for their luxury collection.
Kate Moss conjures up images of Brigitte Bardot for Kérastase Paris’ summer 2014 luxury collection. Kérastase Paris artistic director and hairstylist Luigi Murenu in a press release stated, “The Brigitte Bardot ‘mussed-up’ 60’s look is both quintessentially French and completely universal. Kate Moss is the Brigitte Bardot of today. She epitomizes the freedom that every woman wants.”

Letter Liability
It has come down to letters on sneakers!! That’s right, a big alphabet on the side of sneaks.
New Balance is suing Karl Lagerfeld for putting the alphabet “K” on the side of sneakers in his namesake sneaker line similar to the alphabet “N” on the side of sneakers on New Balance sneakers.
On June 3, New Balance filed a suit for copyright infringement. In a statement released by the footwear company, “New Balance filed a lawsuit against Karl Lagerfeld to protect our intellectual property rights related to our iconic Lifestyle footwear designs.”
McCarthy’s Payback
Necessity is the mother of invention, or so the adage goes. Melissa McCarthy is paying suit. After being snubbed by designers for the 2012 Academy Awards, McCarthy is taking up the case of plus-size women by creating her own plus-size line.
McCarthy is a 2012 Oscar nominee, Emmy winner and Elle cover girl. So, you think designers would line up to dress her. Wrong!!! “Two Oscars ago, I couldn’t find anybody to do a dress for me,” McCarthy told Redbook in an interview appearing in their July Issue. “I asked five or six designers—very high-level ones who make lots of dresses for people—and they all said no.”
So, McCarthy is taking matters into her own hands by collaborating with Daniella Pearl on a plus-size line. “I went to school for clothes and textiles,” she told Us Magazine in 2011, “so I always thought I was going to do women’s clothing anyway. [Then I went] from FIT to doing stand-up, so I feel like I am going back to it.”
