Tyson Beckford bumping and grinding? Yep, that’s right; in “Chocolate City” 43-year old supermodel Tyson Beckford is showing off his six pack, sculpted physique, and bumping and grinding for sex-starved ladies.
Riding off of the heels of “Magic Mike,” “Chocolate City “ follows a college student (Romeo Miller) as he is roped into the world of amateur stripping by club owner Michael Jae White. Tyson Beckford is reported to even have some bare ass scenes.
Tyson Beckford joins a very hunky cast including singer Ginuwine, Romeo Miller, Darren Dewitt Henson, Robert Ri’chard and Michael Jai White. “Chocolate City” is scheduled to hit movie theaters in early 2015.
Benz’s new assignment
Chris Benz has been tapped as the new creative director of Bill Blass. The brand is scheduled to relaunch in spring 2015. Benz follows of long list of designers—Peter Som, Lars Nilsson, Michael Vollbracht, and Jeffrey Monteiro—that have held the reigns since Bill Blass’ retirement in 1999 and death in 2002.
Chris Benz’s namesake brand has been out of the spotlight since spring 2013. With this new job, Fashion Reverie is excited that Benz will bring his version of sassy youthfulness to this iconic brand.
Onshore manufacturing
Stateside clothing manufacturing appears to be up. Compared to previous reports American manufacturing that has relocated from China has increased from 13 to 16% to 20%. This increase is across as US manufacturing sectors.
“We have been advising companies to look at the overall cost of production in the United States for a long time, and to consider the entire supply chain and not just obvious factors, like the cost of labor,” the Boston Consulting Group explained in a fashionmag.com article. “When companies adopt a holistic vision, the increasing benefits of the USA become obvious, especially if the productions are destined for the American market.”
This return to onshore manufacturing will result in 5% manufacturing job increase from American workers. According to the Boston Consulting Group this job increase will result in 600,000 to one million in 2020.
