Los Angeles-based, tv personality, Lindsay Myers is all about balancing budget with luxury. “People assume that you need a ton of money to experience everything life has to offer. I have made it my mission to prove them wrong,” explains Myers. Gaining popularity as an “Access Hollywood” regular, as well as working alongside celebrity stylist Brad Goreski on Bravo’s “Brad, Brad World,” while also starring on a solo travel series on katespade.com, Myers knows a thing or two about how to stretch a buck without giving up a thing.
However, with the COVID-19 virus hitting the US hard, many of our regular activities have been halted, leaving us stuck at home. So, it’s no surprise that Myer’s is balancing this “new normal” with some at-home pampering!
Fashion Reverie loves a good DIY scrub or mask and who better to spill some beauty secrets than Myers herself. Keep reading for Myers’ top treatments for smooth skin, soft hair, and beautiful nails (and the best part, she uses products you most likely already have at home!).

Natural Lip Scrub for a Kissable Pout
If in a time crunch, Myers recommends grabbing a pack of sugar for a quick exfoliation. However, this recipe is her favorite trick for “super smooth” lips.
What you’ll need:
1 TSP of Brown Sugar
1 TSP of White Sugar
1 TSP of Honey
1/2 TSP of Olive Oil
Mix all the ingredients in a small container and apply to your lips, store the extra for later use. Myers swears by this method exclaiming, “Trust me, after about 20 seconds your lips will feel amazing.”

Soak-Away-Your-Stress Bath Salts
With COVID-19 virus uncertainty, we’re all looking for a way to de-stress and unwind. You could run out and buy bath salts, but it’s so simple to make them at home. Myers adds essential oils to hers for an ultra-relaxing experience, but if you don’t have any on hand, you can skip them.
What you’ll need:
Coarse Salt
Epsom Salt
Baking Soda
Essential oil
Take 6-part coarse sea salt, 3-part Epsom salt, 1-part baking soda, and just a few drops of essential oil of your choice and mix them together. How easy is that? Myers especially loves this recipe as, “this combo helps sooth the muscles, helps with skin irritation, and softens the skin.”

3-Step Ombre at-Home Manicure
With Myers’ regular nail salon shut down, she finally found a little time to play with the at-home-manicure. “I never go really big or bold with my manicures. But I have the time to figure out how to do it myself, why not!”
This ombre nail looks great and is so easy you may find yourself doing your own nails at home even after all the nail salons open again!
What you’ll need:
2 Different nail polish colors (preferably one light shade and one darker shade)
1 Clear topcoat nail polish
1 Sponge (you just need a little bit so you can cut off a section from a larger sponge if needed)
1 Sheet of plastic wrap
1 Toothpick
Paint your nails as usual with the lightest color and let them dry fully. Next pour a little of each shade on a piece of plastic wrap side-by-side, so the two colors touch. Then, “take the toothpick and swirl/blend just at the area where the two colors meet,” Myers explains.
The next step is to “take your sponge and dab it directly over this mixture and then dab the sponge directly on your nail.” Once you’ve applied this technique to all your fingernails, Myers shares that if you want a stronger color, you can go back over the nails once the first coat is completely dry. Finish the look with a swipe of the topcoat polish and marvel at your handiwork.

Transformative Hair Mask
“It is SO easy to make a simple hair mask with everyday things in our kitchen. Why don’t we do it more? Maybe now we will,” shares Myers who doesn’t just have one great hair mask, but two!
Option 1, ideal for all hair types:
What you’ll need:
1 Avocado
1 TBSP of Honey
To create this mask, scoop out half an avocado and mix it with the honey. Apply this mixture to your strands and leave it on for 20 minutes. Then rinse it off for smooth, soft locks.
Option 2, ideal for extremely dry hair:
What you’ll need:
2 Eggs
3 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Mix 2 eggs with 3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil and apply to hair. Leave this on for 20 minutes and rinse it off for healthier looking hair.

Easy at Home Facial
Myers is an avid spa goer looking for better skin. “I have grown to love my facials, but they are expensive and right now we just can’t get them. Why not learn how to do it yourself?” Now is the perfect time to pamper yourself and your skin.
What you’ll need:
2 Teabags of Chamomile Tea
1 TBSP of Honey
1 TBSP of Nutritional Yeast
Brew one cup of the tea with both tea bags and let it cool. While the tea is cooling, stir together the honey and nutritional yeast in a small bowl.
Myers explains to slowly add the tea into honey and yeast mixture. “Add just enough of the tea to the bowl to make a paste. You want to be able to spread it on your face, but not be watery.” Leave the mixture on your face for 20 minutes and take this time to clear your mind and relax. Wash off the mixture smooth to reveal restored skin.
Even if you’re stuck inside, you can still spoil yourself with these budget friendly beauty treatments. Let us know if you’ve tried any of Myers’ DIY recipes or some of your own favorite beauty concoctions!
