Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2014 Pre-Coverage

MBFW_2014_18It is very close to that time again. The time when the Plaza at Lincoln Center will be host to clacking stilettoes—because of the harsh winter weather, possible more boots—, harried fashion editors, glamorous celebs, and all the eccentric crazies dressed in their version of the nines, trying to get media paparazzi to take their picture. These telltale signs indicate that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (MBFW) has yet again taken up residence at Lincoln Center.

However, this season things will be different. IMG, the governing body for MBFW, has cut the media list by 20%. It appears there was a barrage of complaints by designers and industry professionals that last September there was far too much posturing and selfie taking by bloggers, gate crashers and wannabees that didn’t serve the purpose and needs of MBFW.

“The Tents,” as it has come to be called, has been repurposed and redesigned for more intimate runway spaces, expansive vendor assignments, and video rooms. MBFW will also have more additional presentation space at the Hudson Hotel and at other locations.

MBFW_2014_010Fall 2014 will be the inaugural season of New York Fashion Week Men’s Day (NYMD). NYMD will showcase six men’s brands, Ernest Alexander, David Hart, Bosideng, Carlos Campos, Bespoken, and Lucio Castro. Fashion Reverie will be there front and center on February 5 to keep you informed.

That said; Fashion Reverie will be bringing complete and up-to-date coverage for its viewers. This season you can expect a more inclusion of variety of designers from new wunderkind Jerome Lamaar of 5:31: Jerome to such established brands as Ralph Rucci, Monique Lhuillier, Betsey Johnson, Nautica, and Guess to fashion-forward renegades Sally LaPointe, En Noir, Binetti, Gilded Age, V Files, and many others. This season Fashion Reverie will also include some very special sections that viewers will have to tune in to find out about. We won’t reveal the details just yet, but it will knock your socks off!!

MBFW_2014_04Fashion Reverie will continue to take you from the front lines of fashion to the front row, always keeping you informed on what’s now and next in fashion. Remember, without change there is no growth, and this fall 2014 season promises to be a groundswell of change that will propel the fashion industry in to the stratosphere!!  Don’t you want to be a part of it?
