Nicky Hilton Extends her Fashion Presence with NICKY HILTON x linea pelle

Celebrity fashion collaborations appear to be the order of the day. From Pharrell Williams and G-Star Raw to Stephanie Pratt and MeMe London to the recent collaboration between Ja Rule and Steve Madden, the synergy between celebrity culture and fashion is now stronger than ever.

Though some celebrity fashion collaborations resemble private licensing with the celebrity having a limited voice in the design, construction, and creative perspective of the collection, some celebrities take a much more active role. Nicky Hilton is one such celebrity.

Nicky Hilton is no stranger to the fashion industry. Though she does not have a degree in fashion, she has taken courses at Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology. In 2004, Nicky Hilton launched her own fashion line. She has also designed a line of handbags for the Japanese company, Samantha Thavasa. In 2007, she launched a second fashion line, Nicholai, which showed a 2007/2008 collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC.
