Red Carpet Looks from the 2020 Venice Film Festival

The Venice Film Festival is the world’s oldest film festival and one Europe’s three big film festivals—Cannes Film Festival, and Berlin International Film Festival. And with that said, the COVID-19 pandemic was not going to stop the film festival, even if a few little adjustments had to be made.

The Venice Film Festival’s red carpets, ceremonies, and film events went on, according to schedule, just with less attendees. The red-carpet events were socially distanced and there were fewer films, still, The Venice Film Festival produced a lot of excitement with consumers craving great fashion from their favorite celebs. Cate Blanchett was the president of the jury for this year’s festival and has lived up to her part with a lineup of different, very chic looks.

Here is Fashion Reverie’s favorites red carpet looks from the 2020 Venice Film Festival.

Najan González Norvind looks youthful in a Kris Goyri dress. Norvind appeared to be having a good time and with this white Goyri dress was saying goodbye to summer. This particular garment in white gives that light, relaxed feeling with a floating shoulder cape and statement accessories.  In this Goyri ensemble, Norvind is definitely making a fashion statement.

Gia Coppola usually wears a little less color and is a minimalist when it comes to her design aesthetic. We guess the year 2020 is changing all of u. The popular pastels with gold thread in this layered Gucci gown are still a modest look for Gia. Though this look seems to overwhelm Gia’s slight frame, the look is still unique and one of the most eye-catching looks Gia has ever wore to an event.

Tilda Swinton is always a step ahead of trends. To best describe her look, from Tilda, it seems like she is on the set of a futuristic renaissance-inspired film in a white silk crepe, floral motif long coat from the Chanel spring 2020 haute couture collection. Manolo Blahnik’s booties helped Tilda create a red-carpet moment; however, James T. Merry’s custom gold mask is an accessory we all want this season!

Elodie brought sexy to the carpet in the silver, strapless, slit Versace gown with side slit. This Italian pop singer’s stylist Ramona Tabita did a great job for Elodie’s appearance at the 2020 Venice Film Festival.

Ludovica Valli in Antonio Riva is how you make an entrance. You show up in a big, fluffy pastel pink dress that is so voluminous, you look slender in all the puffiness.  Antonio Riva pink strapless tiered gown wrapped around the actress is what Fashion Reverie calls dramatic effect!!

Rising film star Isabel May attended her first Venice Film Festival and looked ravishing in a plunging Valentino copper gown on the red carpet! She looks like a princess and had a lot of fun posing and twirling around for the cameras.

Cate Blanchett had a wide range of gorgeous looks; however, in the Armani Privé look with jewelry by Pomellato, Cate brought vibrancy to the carpet and showed her personality off best. The fitted, bustier dress flattered her figure and looked mesmerizing topped with a beaded, transparent cape. Still, she does look a bit like a superhero!!
