The 79th Venice Film Festival, as expected has given us some of the best fashion moments of the year! There was no lack of celebrity fashion moments at the oldest event of its kind existing since 1932. Also, what a beautiful ambiance at the floating city with photo shots of guests arriving by private water taxis. Many attendees opted for archival couture over new looks. So, Fashion Reverie rounded up some of the favorite red-carpet looks.

Timothée Chalamet
Chalamet’s look had the internet buzzing! This backless Haider Ackerman look is an acquired taste and probably more acceptable in Hollywood. Still, this look is very fashion-forward and broke our expectations. After all, he does look great, and it is a perfect fit for his avant-garde approach.

Jodie Turner Smith
Now is denim allowed on this red carpet? This denim look is made by Balmain, and is looks quite glamorous, despite being denim! This is a look to remember, since it also breaks all the rules, and still delivers!

Tessa Thompson
Tessa looks fantastic in this Elie Saab monochromatic look. In this garment, Tessa blends in with the carpet, but the shape of this gown still allows us to appreciate every curve of the creation. This is another fashion-forward look and should inspire all of us to dare and do something different.

Harry Styles
Unlike the rest of Fashion Reverie’s best dressed picks, Harry Styles took it down a notch; but he is like the poster child for Gucci. You can see it from miles away!! We love the white shoes and multiple rings paired with a long, triangle collar and classic double- breasted jacket.

Julianne Moore
Now this is red carpet perfection. The embellished Valentino cape with sheer looks are quite classy and very appropriate for the occasion. The embellishments give her a special glow and certain va va voom!

Mariacarla Boscono
Boscono graced the red carpet in a revealing Jean-Paul Gaultier gown by Glenn Martens! How sexy! We love her hairstyle and makeup which brought a certain mystery to complete the look.

Florence Pugh
Florence looked great in a Valentino off-the-shoulders transparent gown with a high slit along with magic dust-like fabric. This is another timeless look we can admire for years to come.
