Inspired by a recent trip to Japan, and the work of photographer Daido Moriyama, Reem Acra found an ingenious way to combine her acumen for creating fashion-forward, luxury garments with traditional Japanese embroidery and fishnet. A lofty task indeed, in that fishnet can sometimes appear less than glamorous.
Compared to previous collections, Reem Acra expanded this season into more daywear looks. Still, her daywear is glamorous and definitely for that woman who wants a double take or wants to grab your attention. Though Reem Acra stayed mostly with a color palette of red white and black, this collection was dynamic and definitely red-carpet worthy.

Standouts in this collection was a red and ombré goat-haired coat, sexy black leather pants with goat-haired coat and one of the last showstopping look of black and white taffeta with netting and black sequins. And though glam, red carpet is definitely Reem Acra’s oeuvre, in this outing Reem Acra demonstrated that there is a sophisticated, women’s daywear point of view in her aesthetic. We hope there is more to come!!
