Screen Actors Guild Awards Red-Carpet Fashion Roundup

The 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG)Awards, held at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles, kicked off the awards season in style with stars in some fabulous looks. The SAG awards, where award-winning film and television performances are celebrated, happen on the same night. With most the COVID-19 restrictions loosened, stars put their most fashionable foot forward. This award show did feel like a Golden Age of Acting bursting in color and shimmer. 

Kerry Washington in Celia Kritharioti 

Spring has sprung, well at least Kerry is signaling we are getting close to the spring season!!  Kerry looked great in a bright yellow dress with a flared mermaid skirt and one very tight bustier. Someone is in shape and ready for awards season!! 

Helen Mirren in Dolce & Gabbana 

Blush, pastel pink gives such a subtle feeling, but on Dame Helen Lydia Mirren overshadowed many looks on the SAG red carpet. Helen’s look was complete with floral embellishments and a blush headband with a matching mask.  

Vanessa Hudgens in Atelier Versace 

How would one describe Vanessa Hudgens look in one word? Sensational. Her gorgeous figure was on display in a daring, high-slit dress paired with Chopard jewelry and platform gold shoes. 

Elle Fanning in Gucci

Always a favorite of Fashion Reverie, Elle Fanning looked elegant and on trend in a Gucci waistcoat with sequined black trousers. Hey folks, she is all grown up and know and demonstrates that you don’t have to wear a gown to look elegant.

Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton

 A bright red patent bustier dress is a daring look and gives out confidence especially when the main accessory is a nose ring paired with an embellished cape.

Lady Gaga in Armani Privé

The star of “House of Gucci” impressed Fashion Reverie yet again with her sleek white custom gown. This is a sexy look emphasized with a gold bustier and accessorized beautifully with a hard-to-not notice Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace.

Sandra Oh in Carolina Herrera

We are not used to seeing Sandra Oh dressed so loudly, but times have changed. Sometimes, reinvention is a good thing.  And the metallic silver bow strap, A-line gown which was noticeable on an already exciting red carpet was just the reinvention needed.  

Emilia Jones in Givenchy Haute Couture 

Emilia Jones made a red-carpet statement in a simple black undergarment wrapped in a one shoulder haute couture. This look is obviously very intricate and embellished with a one-shoulder transparent gown with a high-slit.  The entire look was feminine and seductive. 

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith in Gareth Pugh

Bustiers and high slits seem to be trending on the SAG Awards red carpet. That said, the Smiths went for a more classic look. 

Will Smith looked sharp with Jada on his arm with Jada donning a vintage, navy blue number which had a tight bodice and a voluminous skirt. She played with layering and added a simple long sleeve top underneath. Her necklace, which was a statement piece, completed the look.
