It is still the beginning of the year, so there’s plenty of time to think about getting your fashion game forward. Of course, each season is different and each year we change and so does our style. However, certain celebrities ALWAYS remain iconic when it comes to fashion. Let’s look for inspiration from those that lead 2022 as style icons. Here are some of Fashion Reverie’s favorites in 2022.
Lady Gaga
She is like a chameleon. Gaga changes her style according to her growth or in this case according to her role. The controversial film “House of Gucci” was great for her style. It gave Lady Gaga that old Hollywood glamour which she sometimes lacked in past years!! We love it!!
Rihanna
Fashion Reverie loved her pregnancy looks; so innovative, glorious, and chic. This new mom continued pushing best looks forward even post pregnancy. Not a surprise for Rihanna whom we always considered a style icon.
Chloe Sevigny
Chloe always looks effortlessly perfectly put together. Whether on the red carpet or strolling around downtown NY, Chloe keeps setting those trends.
Mariska Hargitay
Mariska Hargitay’s 2022 red carpet season was on fire. She seemed very comfortable in her body, consistently experimenting with some new looks while mingling with the elite of the fashion world.
Kim Kardashian
Well, the reality star and entrepreneur may have crossed some boundaries with her 2022 Met Gala appearance in none other than Marilyn Monroe dress, causing lots of commotion; with all the wagging tongues, “breaking the internet.” For that controversy, Kim K made a lot of best dressed lists. Since breaking some rules is one of the things that fashion is about, Kim K easily fits on our list.
Harry Styles
He is the epitome of what the world wants and needs these days. Styles is always sharp and stylish, yet not afraid of his feminine side. It is something not just any guy can pull off and Harry sure is an inspiration for gender fluid fashion.
J Lo
Newlywed Ms. Affleck probably wore most wedding dresses and bridal looks than any other celebrity last year. We of course have to blame her movie roles for that, but J Lo wore the plethora of wedding garments with the same passion as she wears everything.
Sarah Jessica Parker
After tons of controversy about her grey hair, this style icon stood up against age shaming and pulled off some impressive looks. Which is no surprise since SJP has that signature NYC look in her DNA.
Lenny Kravitz
This list would not be complete without the addition of Lenny Kravitz. Since his ascent in music in the late 80s, Kravitz has been the epitome of style for those guys who are not afraid to mix vintage fashion with in-your-face sexy fashion that shows off a very fit bod.
Kravitz sense has evolved over the years, from his rock n’ roll sexy fashion vibe to the more luxury European style that he now dons. And you cannot his recent award as the CFDA’s ” Fashion Icon of the Year.”
