Kati Stern of Venexiana left no stone unturned this season with a collection that consisted of 76 looks. Show stopping metallics in elegant mermaid silhouettes created a stunning visual.

Deep jewel tones also reigned supreme with a strong focus on embellished accents and plunging back designs. While impressive crystal accent pieces dazzled delicately against iridescent fabric, it was the lavish furs in black, white and brown that provided the perfect dose of elegance to extravagant textiles.

Stern was recently granted an exclusive license to sell fur, which acted as a staple piece in the glamorous collection. A note worthy ensemble was a sequin gold mini dress paired with a luscious brown fur.

Oftentimes, a collection is able to captivate a crowd with a glam, luxe perspective. Katie Stern was able its use her elegant, luxe point of view to draw the audience into her 2013 fall/winter collection. However, after the extended melange of sequins, fur and taffeta, this collection failed to excite and evoke mood.

There was also an obvious issue with the construction of certain designs. Ill fitted bodices floated over the thin models’ chests and involuntarily shifted due to issues with sizing. Despite a few ill-executed dresses, the overall collection was impressively luxurious with an air of sophistication that would appeal to a bold and confident woman.
